Submission Requirements
All submissions to the Abuja Journal of Public Law must meet the following requirements:
- Original work that has not been published elsewhere
- Written in English
- Follows the journal's formatting guidelines
- Includes an abstract of 250-300 words
- Minimum 5 keywords
- Properly cited using OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities)
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process:
- Initial screening by the editorial team (1-2 weeks)
- Review by 2-3 external reviewers (4-8 weeks)
- Editorial decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject
- Revised manuscripts undergo second round of review if required
- Final acceptance and publication timeline: 3-6 months from submission
Publication Ethics
The journal adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics:
- Originality: All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism
- Authorship: Only those who have made significant contributions should be listed as authors
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest
- Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy of data presented
- Ethical Approval: Research involving human subjects must have ethical approval
Copyright & Licensing
Upon acceptance, authors transfer copyright to the journal. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
